Psychiatric Services

Psychiatric Medication Management

At Excalibur Psychiatric Services, we specialize in personalized psychiatric medication management tailored to your specific needs. Our services include comprehensive diagnostic assessments and personalized treatment plans, ensuring the best care for our clients' mental health.

What to expect:

  • Discussion of your symptoms and psychiatric history

  • Review of prior completed questionnaires related to mood and attention

  • Careful discussion of which medications may be appropriate, if any

  • Explanation of how medications are expected to work and what to watch for

Individual Therapy

Compassionate and professional care with a dash of frivolity is our recipe for individual therapy.  We provide counseling services to children 5 and up as well as to adults who suffer from emotional wounds, previous traumas, and recurring feelings of anxiety and depression.  Providing a safe, nurturing virtual environment, we will move with you at your pace through the emotional muck to slay (or tame!) what we find there.

What to expect:

  • A comprehensive medical and psychiatric history will be completed

  • Treatment goals will be established cooperatively within the first 3 sessions

  • Play therapy and art therapy techniques

  • If you are a caregiver, please be present for a portion of all sessions

Genetic Testing

We work with Genesight to see how your unique DNA might affect the way medications work in your body, which and help avoid costly and time-consuming medication trials.  This is not a diagnostic tool, rather it helps us rule out medications that may not be as effective and hone in on those that may be more beneficial for your genetic makeup.

What to expect:

  • A kit will be mailed to your home by Genesight within two days of the order being processed

  • A quick and easy cheek swab is all that's needed before mailing it back

  • Get results within two weeks

Emotional Support Animal Letter

An emotional support animal (ESA) letter is a formal document from a licensed mental health professional asserting that you have a qualifying mental or emotional health condition and that an animal’s presence helps alleviate your symptoms as part of treatment.  Our licensed provider can evaluate and confirm ESAs in-office and virtually.

What to expect:

  • Your mental health needs will be discussed during the psychiatric intake as well as how an ESA may support your treatment.

  • Your ability to care for the animal will also be assessed.

  • Please note: ESAs are different from service animals and do not have the same access rights.

IA ESA Guidelines:

  • ICRC Fact Sheet

  • Landlords must allow ESAs even in buildings with “no pets” policies, as long as the animal isn’t a safety risk or causing property damage.
  • Landlords cannot charge extra deposits or fees for ESA's.
  • Landlords must waive any pet weight, breed, and size restrictions for ESA's.
