Our Staff
Hiya! My name is Amanda and I believe in resiliency of the human spirit. My greatest passion is helping others find their way and to bring happiness and stability back into their lives. Building a therapeutic connection based on mutual trust, respect, and openness is the cornerstone of my practice, and I especially love working with children and adolescents. Self-harming behavior, suicidal ideation, trauma, personality disorders, and anxiety are some of the many areas I specialize in, and I am proud to offer both individual therapy as well as psychiatric medication management.
I have spent many years traveling and have lived all across the United States, which gave me the opportunity to live among many other cultures and those with different lifestyles and values. This experience has provided me with a broad humanistic perspective, burgeoning empathy, and a wealth of experience that have positively impacted my work with those in need.
Upon graduating with a graduate degree in counseling from Indiana State University, I have worked in nearly every part of the mental health field, including inpatient and outpatient offices, residential treatment centers, schools, correctional facilities, and methadone clinics. To add to my expertise, I decided to go back to school to get a second masters degree in nursing, specifically psychiatric nursing. This variety of practice has provided me with knowledge and adaptability that has been invaluable in treating clients of all ages and backgrounds.
Outside of the office I enjoy digital painting, playing video and board games, hiking, and snuggling my corgi, Fizzgig.
